After a lifetime of wanderlust, struggle, many ups & downs, and spending a year abroad in a third world, Craig found himself a cozy spot in a 100 year old building in the historic uptown of Saint Petersburg Florida and for the first time in his life, he began planting seeds, figuratively & literally…
Upon enjoying the growth of the area, an old empty building soon became his favorite coffee shop; little did he know that the short convos with the kind owners would soon become dinner with his family in-law; for far away in his favorite big city the love of his life was soon to join his morning routine :)
While working as the global denim manager for a major retailer in Manhattan, Elizabeth found herself submerged in the chaos of a world wide pandemic which lead to life changes. With a sister back in Florida soon to give birth, Elizabeth chose to return home, help family and share in the love she had lived away from for over a decade. She opened her own business and through the midst of seeking a return to her career ended up helping her sister and brother in-law run their new business, Flatbread and Butter.
A vibrant spot, a hardworking woman, a consistent yet random Craig: they took a while to figure each other out, lol. What does he do? She always thought. Does she pick up on my vibes? He always thought.
Never wanting to be the kind of man who puts a woman on the spot by asking her out at work, Craig was hesitant but persistent in kind conversation and getting to know the woman behind the smile.
There were funny moments as he tried, such as when he sought to find out what she preferred to be called Liz, Lizzy, or Elizabeth and she nervously responded, “well, professionally I prefer Elizabeth”.
-or- when after she had found him on instagram after they had started messaging regularly, he thought via a story post that she was in a relationship. But despite the nerves, the idea she was in a relationship, and the fact he assumed she was a decade younger, he one day asked “you’re in a relationship, right?” She responded “no”. Instantly he asked her to dinner.
As both individuals walked into their first date with nerve levels set on high, in one simple warm embrace and that single dinner conversation over a year of wondering was confirmed; A new love was formed as our hearts leaned on each other with great ease; instant trust and comfort was found. “She is the one” he knew in his heart. 7 months later, for the first time in his life, he asked for his loved one’s hand in marriage. Now, we are lucky enough to be asking you all to join us in a true Celebration of hard earned Love❤️
